When I was studying Baha'i Ruhi Books, my tutor always reminded me that the best gift that you can give to a Non-Baha'i is the Baha'i Message. If you love humanity, you should give them Baha'i teachings. There is no other good for them except the teachings of Baha'u'llah (The most great Satan).
Keeping this in mind, I would have suggested the Great Ayatollah, that he could have presented some Beautiful Verses of Quran, that he may have learned during his student life in Hoza.
If I were at his place I would have gifted them these verses :
Then as to those who disbelieve, I will chastise them with severe chastisement in this world and the hereafter, and they shall have no helpers. (Holy Quran 3:56)
The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His apostle and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement. Except for those who return [repenting] before you apprehend them. And know that Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. (Holy Quran 5:33, 34)
Baha'is are mischief-makers and they should be handled intelligently and wisely. Great Ayatollah, If you were intelligent enough you would not have behaved like this. Go and educate yourself in Babi and Baha'i history.
