Ayatollah Abdul-Hamid Masumi Tehrani, who recently made headlines worldwide due to his sympathy for the Baha’is (and Bahaism) of Iran, has been summoned to Iran’s special clerical court. According to the HRANA – the news organ of the Human Rights Activists’ News Agency in Iran – Ayatollah Abdul-Hamid Masumi Tehrani showed his solidarity with the Baha’is of the world in April 2014, by presenting them with a work of illuminated calligraphy. This Shia religious reformer has been summoned to appear at Branch 1 of the special clerical court on June 1st. The summons stated the reason was “complaints against him”.
